Paris Trip 2011

We went to Paris on 9th - 12th April 2011. Before we even travel to London, I have purchased the Eurostar tickets from London to Paris then back to London. Our train departed from London St Pancras at 6:22AM, such an early train right but this is the cheapest fare that we could get so no choice. Woke up at around 4AM and FY called a cab for us to send us to St Pancras. Our train tickets from London to Paris cost us £84.50 per pax and £34.50 per pax. Kinda pricey right? But somehow still cheaper than taking a flight and taking flight is wasting so much time. The journey took about 2 hours 30 minutes and it was a very comfortable train maybe perhaps I'm still sleepy cos waking up so early in the morning. Oh, I forgot to talk about the Open Double Decker Bus Tour tickets, you can actually buy those tickets either at the office in Paris or at the St Pancras waiting room. There have a counter setup there on information about Paris, you can buy almost all tickets there including the bus tour, Paris Disneyland tickets and also the Metro day pass.

Below are the things we did / went + the photos we snapped throughout our Paris trip:
  • Open Double Decker Bus Tour - There's a lot to choose from but we chose L'Open Tour as it has more lines and going to more places as compared to others. You choose to buy 1/2 day(s) pass. It's unlimited rides for the day and of course if it's a 2 days pass then you have to use it for 2 consecutive days.
  • Eiffel Tower
  • Notre Dame Cathedral
  • Champs Elysees & Arc de Triomphe
  • Musee d'Orsay
  • The Lourve
  • Montmarte & Sacre Coeur Basilica

Bought the 2 days Metro passes and Open Tour Bus Tour before hand

Train No. 9002

Seats can be selected before purchasing the tickets, we chose the last seat in this coach, thinking that less people would walk up and down but we're wrong! The doors just keep on opened n shut as passengers are moving to another couch / going to toilet!
